MOFU

The name “Mofusand” comes from the Japanese onomatopoeia mofu mofu (もふもふ), meaning “soft and fluffy,” combined with “sand,” short for “sandwich.” Mofusand was created around 2017 by a Japanese illustrator who goes by the pen name Juno, and it captures the feeling of irresistibly fluffy cats squeezed into adorable, often silly scenarios.
